Video: Neurofeedback for Chronic Pain
This is another video resource from EEGInfo.com featuring neurofeedback specialist Caroline Grierson, who practices neurofeedback alongside UCLA pain specialist Dr. Prager. It’s an excellent overview of how neurofeedback can help individuals struggling with chronic pain to manage their pain in a non-invasive way that can reduce or even eliminate their need for medication. Grierson explains that “by learning to control the brain waves with the help of brainwave biofeedback or neurofeedback, we can affect the underlying structure of one’s attention on pain, and maybe return the brain’s pain sensitivity to a more normal set point.”
